Position, align and trim parts to form complete units or subunits, following plans and layout specifications, and using jigs and hand tools.;
Check that parts conform to specifications, using a ruler and measuring tape.;
Arrange and examine stocks of metals or parts to be processed to ensure that specifications are met.;
Align and adjust parts to specification, using grips, turnbuckles, shims, bars, and hammers.;
Read engineering drawings and blueprints to determine material requirements and task sequences.
