Packager / Production Associate Job Description
This role supports manufacturing and packaging operations for paste and liquid products in a high-volume production environment. You will handle packaging, labeling, material movement, and general production tasks while following strict safety and quality procedures. The position requires frequent lifting up to 55 lbs, reliable attendance, and the ability to work effectively on a production line across various shifts.
Responsibilities- Package and label paste and liquid products accurately and efficiently according to production and quality standards.
- Handle materials safely, including lifting and moving items weighing up to 55 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Support production lines by supplying materials, monitoring product flow, and assisting with line changeovers as needed.
- Use RF scanners when required to track materials, inventory, or finished goods.
- Perform assembly-related tasks, including basic component assembly and preparation for packaging or shipment.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and general labor tasks to support overall production and warehouse operations.
- Operate pallet jacks safely to move pallets and materials within the facility when required.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas by following housekeeping and 5S practices.
- Follow all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, including the use of steel-toe boots and employer-provided PPE.
- Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and work instructions, reporting any hazards or issues promptly.
- Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively in English to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Follow directions and standard operating procedures with strong attention to detail and common sense judgment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude helpful for understanding basic equipment and production processes.
- Experience using RF scanners is an asset.
- Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled environment with a mix of heavy lifting and light-duty tasks.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garland, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.12 - $21.12/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
