• Assess health status and needs; interpret data and provide preventive care.
• Use a systematic approach to deliver individualized, goal‑directed nursing care.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments of patients.
• Formulate nursing care plans based on diagnoses and identified problems.
• Implement nursing care within scope of practice and applicable laws.
• Develop and implement teaching plans to promote health and self‑management.
• Provide education, emotional support and age‑specific care to patients and families.
• Manage care for multiple patients (direct care or delegated to team members).

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing school.
• BSN required within 24 months of hire if hired after 6/1/12.
• Minimum two years critical care (ICU, PCU) experience within the last three years.
• Ability to care for ICU, PCU and Med‑Surg patients as requested.
• Ability to assume charge responsibilities and duties.
• Current RN license in Texas or active Texas Compact License.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
