Position

Registered Nurse Charge Preop Pacu at Baylor Scott & White Surgicare – North Garland. Position is Monday through Friday with no weekends or holidays.

Baylor Scott & White Surgicare – North Garland is a multi‑specialty outpatient surgery center that offers high‑quality, convenient services across a variety of specialties including orthopedics, ENT, GI, podiatry, pain management, plastic surgery, urology, gynecology, colon and rectal surgery, and general surgery. The facility has six operating rooms and is a joint venture with USPI, providing a collaborative environment with no call responsibilities and holidays off.

Responsibilities

Charge Registered Nurse Preop Pacu delivering quality patient care promptly and cost‑effectively across all clinical areas including pre‑procedure, post‑procedure, and procedure rooms. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards. Assess patient data, interpret and respond to clinical needs, remain calm in crises, and direct staff appropriately. Work cooperatively with physicians and coworkers across orthopedics, GYN, ENT, general surgery, gastroenterology, pain management, and plastic surgery.

Provide excellent customer service, multitask, remain flexible, maintain rigorous infection control, uphold professional competencies, and function as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications Education
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
Licensure / Certification
  • Current Texas License as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
Required Experience
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Currently licensed in the state.
  • CPR required, advanced life support certification required.
  • 1‑year leadership experience in an intra‑operative setting.
  • Demonstrated clinical competency, leadership and teaching capabilities.
