Full-Time Psychiatric Registered Nurses (RN)
Available Shifts
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 12-hour shifts
- Weekend rotation required
As a Psychiatric RN, you will play a vital role in helping patients stabilize, heal, and achieve their treatment goals.
Responsibilities Include
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adolescent and adult behavioral health patients.
- Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment interventions as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
- Document patient care thoroughly through daily nursing notes and electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and the interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment that protects patient dignity and rights.
- Build trusting relationships with patients and their families.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and discharge planning.
- Support and mentor fellow nursing staff while promoting quality patient care.
Required
- Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact RN License eligible to practice in Texas.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current CPR certification.
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
- Passion for patient-centered behavioral healthcare.
- Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, or pediatric nursing.
- Previous inpatient psychiatric experience.
- Knowledge of mental health assessments and crisis intervention.
