- Assist residents with personal hygiene, including the use of bedpans, urinals, baths, back‑rubs, and grooming tasks.
- Provide support for activities of daily living: meal service, feeding, ambulation, turning, and positioning.
- Assist with lifting, positioning, and transportation of residents to beds, chairs, baths, wheelchairs, and appointments.
- Participate in meal service, ensuring residents are positioned correctly, utensils are within reach, and snacks are delivered and documented.
- Maintain knowledge of proper procedures for personal care and follow prescribed policies.
- Prepare equipment and support nurses during examinations and treatments.
- Verify resident check‑ins, answer call lights promptly, and report needs to the supervisor.
- Monitor resident stability: check vital signs, weight, urine; record intake and output.
- Provide comfort and transport residents; respond to call lights and report observations.
- Document actions via forms, logs, and records.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
- Adhere to professional standards, company policies, and all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Review care plans regularly and implement changes as directed.
- Participate in nursing reports during shift start and change.
- Prepare and maintain beds, linens, and bathing areas according to infection control guidelines.
- Assist residents with bowel and bladder functions; keep residents dry and clean.
- Maintain the cleanliness of resident units, central bathing area, treatment rooms, and supply areas.
- Provide post‑mortem care as instructed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Valid, good‑standing CNA certification.
- High school graduate preferred.
