Job Description
This position is responsible for maintaining quality control processes, testing products, recording and analyzing results to ensure Sherwin products meet quality specifications. They test production batches according to written methods, identify issues with in‑spec and out‑of‑spec data, interpret results and historical data to ensure the product meets or exceeds customer requirements for quality, and provide instructions to production personnel regarding adjustments to batches as needed.

Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday to Friday 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm. Shift Differential: $0.50 per hour. Bonus eligibility based on performance is subject to the Company’s applicable plans.
Responsibilities- Ensure all tests are completed and results meet all specifications before going to the next production process
- Enter batch data into the electronic batch records system
- Generate appropriate paperwork per customer specifications
- Gather and send customer samples as required
- Use computer systems to support effective testing of products
- Determine disposition of non‑compliant finished goods
- Place non‑conforming material on hold as needed
- Support ISO Management Systems and Safety Systems
- Maintain inventory of lab supplies
- Identify and communicate product issues to other departments as needed
Create, maintain, and update standard operating procedures for the Quality Department to meet ISO requirements - Assist in training other lab technicians as needed
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- At least one year of experience working in a quality control laboratory
- At least one year of experience working in a manufacturing or distribution facility
- Associate's degree or higher in Chemistry
