Quality Technician (QA/QC)
The Quality Technician (QA/QC) role focuses on inspecting, testing, and analyzing materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet internal, customer, and regulatory quality standards. This position plays a key part in continuous improvement efforts, supports production teams through audits and inspections, and helps drive consistency and reliability throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Perform receiving, first-piece, in-process, and final inspections on materials, components, and finished products.
- Conduct dimensional and mechanical inspections using appropriate measuring equipment and inspection tools.
- Verify that products comply with customer specifications, blueprints, work orders, and established quality standards.
- Document inspection results clearly and accurately, and maintain complete and organized quality records.
- Identify non-conforming materials, document findings, and process them according to established procedures.
- Participate in root cause investigations and contribute to corrective action activities to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
- Support continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
- Perform production audits and quality over checks to monitor adherence to quality requirements.
- Ensure inspection tools and equipment meet calibration requirements and are maintained in proper working condition.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in accordance with company policies and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with production teams to improve quality outcomes and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Train and support team members on quality standards, inspection techniques, and documentation practices as needed.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 2+ years of QA/QC experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience conducting dimensional and mechanical inspections.
- Ability to verify that products meet customer, design, and manufacturing specifications.
- Working knowledge of quality systems and quality control processes.
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement initiatives and Lean Manufacturing concepts.
- Proven ability to document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining strict quality standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office for documentation, reporting, and data tracking.
- Experience with production auditing and statistical quality control methodologies.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing facility with a non-climate-controlled production floor. The position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds in a fast-paced production setting with clear quality and productivity expectations. You will work in a team-oriented environment that emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement. The schedule is first shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with mandatory overtime as required to meet production demands.
Typical tools and technologies include measuring equipment, inspection tools, and computer systems used for quality documentation and Microsoft Office-based reporting.

Pay and Benefits
