Description
$10.00 to $14.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $5.02 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

- Vacation:

PTO/Vacation granted in accordance with state/local requirements. - Personal/Sick time: 8 hours after six months of employment; 16 hours each anniversary thereafter up to five years; 24 hours after five years. We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire store staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.
The role thrives on engaging with customers and assists with inquiries and problem resolution, handling a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
- Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and merchandise display.
- Performs sales and loan transactions per established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items per established policies and procedures.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicates to customers the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully completes assigned training.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting as required by law.
- Ability to work with firearms and to obtain firearms certification.
- Employees may be asked to assist a customer on the exterior of the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
- Minimum age: 18 years old.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Must be able to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
