Job description

This is a Full-Time position

Generally Tuesday - Saturday : 10am - 7pm, but subject to change per needs of the store

Work Location:

In-person / On-site

* Must pass a pre-employment background check, MVR, and drug screening.
* Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required. Candidates must be able to meet the company's vehicle insurance eligibility requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain the orderly and presentable appearance of the vehicle display lot at all times, including the proper parking and staging of inventory.
  • Perform daily lot checks to ensure the area is free of trash, debris, and to empty all indoor and outdoor trash receptacles.
  • Conduct routine checks on all inventory vehicles, including starting them on a regular schedule (e.g., every other day) to ensure batteries are charged and vehicles are operational.
  • Monitor and refuel vehicles as necessary to maintain adequate fuel levels for test drives and sales readiness.
  • Prepare and stage incoming, "unwind," or sold vehicles, which includes washing, light cleaning, and ensuring they are ready for the front line or customer pickup.
  • Safely drive and maneuver all types of vehicles, including lifted trucks, across the lot for staging, service, or customer presentation.
  • Transport vehicles to and from off-site locations for service, detailing, or other necessary preparations.
  • Assist with unlocking and securing vehicles and the lot during opening and closing procedures.
  • Manage and maintain a full stock of all necessary supplies, including vehicle stock tags, window stickers, and "Not For Sale" signs.
  • Ensure all vehicles, especially those designated as "not for sale," are correctly marked with the required stickers on the windshield at all times.
  • Run essential dealership errands, which may include transporting documents, contracts, or parts, as directed by the administrative or sales desk.
  • Coordinate the movement and management of vehicles with mechanical issues, working directly with the service department to ensure timely repairs.
  • Work directly with the sales team to pull up and stage vehicles for customer showings and test drives.
  • Provide logistical support and cover the lot during periods of high customer volume or staffing overflow.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the dealership.
Qualifications:
  • Must have attention to detail
  • Must be dependable
  • Ability to safely operate both manual (stick-shift) and automatic transmission vehicles.
  • Effective verbal communication skills and ability to work cooperatively within a team environment (Sales, Service, and Administrative staff).
  • Prior experience in a dealership, outdoor, or logistics environment is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required. Candidates must be able to meet the company's vehicle insurance eligibility requirements.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, crouch, kneel, bend, and twist for extended periods in a variety of indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
  • Ability to enter, exit, and safely maneuver all types and sizes of vehicles, including lifted trucks, across the dealership lot.
  • Must have the physical capability to perform a full-time, in-person schedule, which requires prolonged periods of standing and walking across the dealership lot and the ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 30 pounds (e.g., cleaning supplies, equipment).
