Position: Front End Associate/Cashier (81782)

Job Overview

Front‑End Associate at Specs Family Partners located at 115 Dallas NW Highway – Dallas, TX 75220. Full‑time position (35 hours per week) with flexible scheduling, including weekends. Salary $13.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

Greet customers with a friendly demeanor and use the guest services script.

Operate the cash register or electronic scanner, scanning barcodes accurately.

Use computers, registers, and scanner equipment properly.

Suggest additional items and promotions, including charity offers.

Assist guests with coupons and produce weighing as necessary.

Verify customer ensure compliance with legal sales requirements.

Accept cash, checks, debit, credit, and gift cards; issue receipts and accurate change.

Bag or box merchandise appropriately, using double bags or protective packaging when required.

Assist with carry‑outs and inventory as directed.

Record daily transaction totals and submit to management.

Conduct cash drops promptly to maintain till balance.

Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and restocked with tools and bags.

Provide information and resolve guest complaints courteously.

Maintain a professional appearance and follow uniform standards.

Avoid personal phone use and minimize conversation with coworkers during customer interactions.

Stock shelves, verify price tags, and assist with inventory checks.

Participate in inventory processes and restocking as needed.

Manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks and support teamwork.

Adhere to all safety regulations and OSHA standards.

Perform physical duties, including standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, and pulling up to 100 lbs occasionally.

Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; retail or cashiering experience preferred.
Basic math skills for cash transactions and ability to calculate discounts.
Strong communication skills with a courteous, helpful demeanor.
Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions.
Bilingual skills are a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and manage stress.
Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting up to 100 lbs.

Requirements

State law requires applicants to be 21 years of age or older.
Valid TABC Beverage Seller’s Permit;
Food Handlers Permit may be required.
Willingness to complete TABC training (2–3 hours) provided by the company; cost is later deducted from pay.
Availability to work any shift on Fridays or Saturdays and to work 80% or more of all shifts each week.
Full‑time commitment of 35 hours per week; part‑time up to 25 hours is optional.
Must pass background screening and meet all legal eligibility requirements.
