Position: Retail Sales Associate - 0007

Full‑Time Retail Sales Associate

Hourly pay ranges from $10.00 to $14.00, plus commission of up to 8% on transactions (average additional $1.00 per hour). Commit to our commission structure and earn a competitive base wage.

Position Summary

Join our nationwide pawn store locations as a full‑time Sales Associate. You will partner with the entire staff to ensure exceptional customer service across lending and retail operations, engaging customers and processing sales, loans, and other transactions. You will manage a wide range of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations).

The role offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Pay will be influenced by location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and interact with all customers to establish rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Perform non‑management open and close procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, stocked sales floor and merchandised displays.
  • Process sales and loan transactions according to established policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle all cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Answer incoming calls per company standards.
  • Communicate the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Collaborate effectively with coworkers and managers, demonstrating respect and clear communication.
  • Partner with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
  • Successfully complete assigned training.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willingness and ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness and ability to perform duties for extended periods: standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
  • Ability to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficient basic math calculations.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Willingness to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Willingness to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan Information

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers may earn 2%–8% commission based on gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed information will be provided during the interview process.

Legal Requirements

Employees must agree to a binding arbitration agreement for dispute resolution.

Pay rates will not fall below applicable local minimum wage requirements.
