Candidates should possess the following abilities:

• Read and write Spanish/English and interact with the general public and co‑workers
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos
• Write simple correspondence
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds

• Basic PC/Outlook skills
• Retail Management Certificate

Under direct supervision the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful service. This position assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk works the morning shift, beginning the day replenishing product as instructed by the Bulk Deli Manager or Assistant Bulk Deli Manager in a specifically assigned area.

The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk is responsible for assisting customers throughout the entire shift and maintaining the cleanliness of the department.

The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store. Essential functions include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling, as well as visual and auditory requirements.

Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling and serving food.
