Retail Sales Associate

$10.00 to $14.00 per hour

We are seeking entry-level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

The role offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity, with pay determined by location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains the sales floor, stocking, and merchandise displays.
• Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items safely and accurately.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Collaborates with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training programs.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ready to perform tasks that involve standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Must be able to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification if required.
• Possible assistance of customers on the building exterior or retrieval of items from exterior storage.
• Minimum age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work with people and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Willingness to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

• Unlimited commission above base hourly rate.
• Paid vacation: one week after six months of active service, an additional week after one year, and two weeks on each subsequent anniversary.
• Sick/personal leave: 8 hours after six months, then 16 hours on each anniversary (adjusted per local law).

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2‑8% commission, based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Additional details are provided during the interview process.
