Job Summary

This role develops and grows sales with new and existing customers. Responsibilities include participating in a variety of focused developmental activities, assignments, and rotations over 12-18 months.

Essential Functions
  • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership tools to ensure alignment with Vision, Values, and Mission.
  • Learns company culture and organizational structure; supports and learns about branch operations.
  • Uses systems for quotes, rental, sales, reservations, and territory management.
  • Implements and develops quality improvement processes focused on safety, financials, operations, and customer service.
  • Builds and maintains internal relationships with key support teams.
  • Collects customer information and understands needs for future sales and marketing campaigns.
  • Leverages marketing and sales tools to identify and sell to customers.
  • Uses CRM to uncover opportunities from dormant and inactive accounts.
  • Coordinates with branch departments to ensure customer satisfaction and communicates field issues to branch or supply personnel.
  • Works with ISR's to provide solutions around equipment needs assessment, training, demonstrations, quotations, catalogs, and credit applications.
  • Negotiates prices on equipment rentals and sales in accordance with pricing policies and procedures.
  • Drives customer engagement to local events and promotions.
  • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Learns all functions of an outside sales representative by actively participating in hands‑on training, including joint sales calls, passing leads, and opening new accounts.
  • Supply:
    Learns all functions of a supply sales representative by actively participating in hands‑on training, including joint sales calls, passing leads, and opening new accounts.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of applicable accounting principles, budget preparation, and business acumen.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of selling techniques, including prospecting, overcoming objections, and closing sales.
  • Excellent selling, negotiating, and closing skills with the ability to build long‑term business relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships across multiple departments and organizational levels.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, self‑management, time‑management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient with MS Office products such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
