Lab Technician

As a Lab Technician, you will perform laboratory tests and other work using both conventional and computerized machines. Your role involves determining chemical and physical characteristics or composition, setting up and operating laboratory equipment, and maintaining records and data. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with customer products and manage a variety of projects independently.

• Conduct laboratory tests according to prescribed standards.
• Determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition.
• Set up, readjust, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Enter data to maintain records and update information.
• Respond to standard customer questions regarding formulas and the mixture process.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate standard equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1 year of chemical lab experience preferred
• Experience with color differentiation

The position is in an industrial lab, not a clean room or biological lab environment. The role offers flexible first shift hours, Monday through Friday, typically working an 8-hour shift starting at 7/8 AM and ending at 4/5 PM, with core hours from 8 AM to 4 PM. The dress code is business casual, and you will be required to wear a lab coat.

This role is expected to last approximately 9 months, with the possibility of promotion or conversion.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garland, TX.

The pay range for this position is $19.57 - $19.57/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
