Learn more:  As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, greet associates and visitors, and support a smooth flow of people and vehicles. You will conduct routine patrols, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with site teams. This is a driving post, so you may also perform vehicle patrols and respond to incidents across the property.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing traffic flow to designated areas.
  • Screen inbound and outbound vehicles, trailers, and deliveries as required by post orders, including monitoring gate activity and reporting irregularities per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching notifications to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading dock areas, and perimeter to observe conditions, document findings, and report maintenance or security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements
  • A minimum of 1+ years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
