Job Title:
Electrician [Residential Wireman, Journeyman, Master LICENSED]
Location:
Garland, TX.
We are looking for an experienced electrician specialized in residential work.
Job Description(MUST HAVE RESIDENTIAL EXPERIENCE)
- Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial electrical applications in accordance with the State of Texas Building Codes.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with all electrical codes.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
- Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit, moving, and lifting heavy objects, and crawling through small spaces such as attics.
- Willing to learn our system.
- Must possess a Master, Journeyman, or Wireman license with the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation.
- 1 year minimum of residential electrical experience required.
- Clean driving record and current valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent work ethic and leadership skills.
- Works well in a team environment.
- Must be able to lift and move items of 75 pounds and/or more on a regular basis and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces.
- Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a frequent basis for extended periods.
- Must be able to work in cramped or high places such as attics, ladders, and tunnels.
- Must be able to carry heavy items up and down stairs.
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions including but not limited to extreme heat, rain, snow, or sleet.
- Must have mental skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, and a technical vocabulary to understand direction and adhere to established procedures.
- Must be willing to adapt well in the face of workplace stressors such as customer service complaints.
- Must be able to complete a Job Physical Assessment.
