High Voltage Electrical Technician
Location: Epiroc, Stockholm, Sweden (global operations) – Onsite
Work Type: Onsite
Shift Timings: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
Principal Responsibilities- Lay out electrical conduit runs, pull wire, and make electrical connections using electrical schematics
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and replace faulty components
- Perform rework and high‑voltage terminations up to 7 200 volts
- Detect and report defective materials, faulty operation, and unusual conditions to the supervisor
- Follow prescribed safety regulations and guidelines
- Perform additional duties as required or directed, including assembly tasks
- Occasional tasks include training new hires, completing paperwork for rejected items, returning leftover parts to the warehouse, and chasing parts for necessary documentation
- Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending English
- Skilled at interpreting specifications and electrical schematics
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical components on the rig and their ideal operation
- Overall familiarity with product lines
- Experience using electrical test equipment
- Basic troubleshooting principles knowledge
- Knowledge of high‑voltage terminations
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Journeyman Electrician License
- Minimum of two years as an Electrician in a similar position
- Training in reading electrical schematics
- Moderate physical demand handling materials and tools during electrical operations
- May lift up to 30 lbs
- Work may involve climbing ladders up to 4–6 ft and crawling underneath rigs
- Handles equipment such as multimeters, high voltage meters, pipe threaders, and conduit benders
- Improper use or failure to correct wiring faults can cause significant damage
