Responsibilities
  • Supervise the operations on the construction sites
  • Monitor the short‑term schedule
  • Review and support the hiring needs
  • Quality control and coordination responsibilities with other trades
  • Train, manage and evaluate project team members
  • Assist the Project Manager to prepare construction schedules
  • Create daily schedules for proper manpower utilization
  • Maintain daily reports, timesheets, safety and accident reports
  • Coordinate production and attend meetings with other trades and the general contractor to identify and resolve conflicts
  • Plan, organize and direct production in accordance with the contracted scope of work
  • Oversee quality assurance and quality control programs
  • Coordinate work with Purchasing to ensure that requested material is expedited and received as needed for construction of the project
  • Ensure all installations meet quality and electrical code standards
  • Communicate to the Project Manager any priority project problems, such as employee, job costing issues or other concerns
  • Empower, train and help in the growth and development of all field employees
  • Counsel employees, including writing, filing and following up on corrective measures for each offense
  • Ensure proper paperwork and counseling is recorded prior to any employee being notified of a lay‑off or termination
  • Ensure all installations correct per NEC, city codes and engineering drawings and specifications
  • Conduct 90‑day and annual reviews as well as end‑of‑project reviews for specific job performance
  • Other duties as required
Requirements
  • Valid Journeyman’s or Master’s license in Texas or Oklahoma required
  • Prior knowledge and/or ability to learn and understand the estimating process
  • Must be safety oriented
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and Word required
  • Exposure to Accubid a plus
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service skills required
  • Ability to be mobile to various locations and available to travel to project areas as needed
Physical Requirements

The job requires working in all elements, depending on location and season, including heat, cold, and rain. Personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, respirator when required) must be worn at all times. Able to work 8‑10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, and overtime and night shifts as required. Tasks include crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, and routinely lifting more than 50 pounds.

Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers. Physical work constitutes more than 70% of the job.
