Garland Oaks, a home for 12‑17‑year‑old survivors of domestic minor sex trafficking, is intentionally developed to support a survivor on the long road to healing. Every aspect of the home and program is designed to address the unique challenges in each survivor’s life. Our residents will enter a safe, restorative, and comforting environment, developed from key concepts like safety, choice, trust, and collaboration.

The trauma‑responsive care provided at Garland Oaks is meant to lead and empower survivors to see a future they couldn’t see before.

Internship

Description:

As an intern, you will assist staff with programs aimed at supporting teen survivors of domestic minor sex trafficking. You will gain hands‑on experience in trauma‑informed care, counseling support, group activities, and community outreach.

• Experience working with youth (preferred)
• Experience working with victims of trauma (preferred)
• Availability to work any day of the week and a willingness to commit to a set number of hours per week
• Strong communication and empathy skills
