Position Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, moving, and shipping materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and adhering to company safety, quality, housekeeping, and productivity standards. This role supports efficient warehouse operations through accurate inventory control, material movement, and timely shipment processing.
- Receive inbound shipments and verify quantities and materials against packing slips, bills of lading, purchase orders, and other shipping documents.
- Pick, stage, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate warehouse inventory through proper RF scanner usage, cycle counts, and physical inventories.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for damage and promptly communicate discrepancies.
- Utilize RF scanning equipment to accurately record inventory transactions.
- Operate stretch wrappers, banders, and other warehouse equipment as required.
- Safely operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts to move, store, load, and unload materials.
- Organize warehouse inventory and ensure materials are stored in designated locations.
- Perform all work safely and immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, or near misses.
- Complete and submit shipping and receiving documentation in a timely manner.
- Communicate urgent shipment issues to Logistics, Customer Service, and Warehouse personnel.
- Coordinate with designated personnel to ensure shipments are scheduled and processed appropriately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with housekeeping standards.
- Contribute positively to team performance and support departmental and organizational goals.
- Perform additional warehouse-related duties as assigned.

Requirements Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with all PPE and safety requirements.

- Experience operating stand-up and sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Proficiency using RF scanners and warehouse inventory systems.
- Knowledge of inventory control processes, cycle counting, and material handling procedures.
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work overtime as required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1-3 year of shipping and receiving or warehouse experience preferred.
- Previous stand-up & sit-down forklift experience required.
- Experience with RF scanners required.
- Experience with inventory control and cycle counting preferred.
- Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
