Plant Controller

Beech Valley is seeking a hands‑on Controller (perm or temp‑to‑perm) to support a manufacturing site in Garner, NC. This role will lead all onsite finance and accounting operations, overseeing full‑cycle accounting and cost accounting in a dynamic production environment. The Controller will partner closely with site leadership to provide financial insights, maintain strong internal controls, and ensure timely, accurate reporting. This position manages three direct reports.

• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and operational decks, including detailed P&L analysis with variance explanations
• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Oversee full‑cycle accounting: billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger
• Manage ERP cost accounting processes and analyze impact to financial statements
• File statutory reports, including sales and use tax and other required tax filings
• Produce daily and weekly performance reports and operational KPIs for management
• Maintain fixed asset register and monitor capital expenditures
• Evaluate and monitor the internal control environment

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
• 7+ years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment
• Strong cost accounting expertise in a manufacturing setting
• Hands‑on experience with full‑cycle accounting and financial reporting
• Experience with integrated ERP systems and general ledger packages
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• 3+ years of management experience supervising direct reports
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with operations leadership
