Odyssey Contracting is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator responsible for producing accurate, disciplined estimates that protect margin, reduce risk, and support smooth project execution. This role owns the technical pricing and scope validation between Sales and Production.
Responsibilities- Estimating & Takeoffs: Prepare detailed estimates for residential and light commercial projects, performing material takeoffs based on plans.
- Scope Development: Review scopes developed by Sales for completeness, clarify inclusions/exclusions, and prevent scope gaps.
- Pricing & Margin Protection: Apply approved pricing models and identify cost risks to ensure estimates meet gross margin thresholds.
- Vendor Coordination: Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids, validating scopes prior to inclusion in estimates.
- Sales & Production Support: Work closely with Sales on pricing refinement and support Project Managers with pre-construction clarification.
3+ years of construction estimating experience, strong understanding of residential/light commercial construction, proficiency in material takeoffs, and strong analytical skills.
