This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application.

- Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases.

- Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory.

- Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting.
- Work Schedule: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday-Friday.
- Duties: Primary Care Physicians within Ambulatory Care will be responsible for the performance of and documentation of health care delivery for Veterans according to Veteran's Health Administration (VHA) and Durham Health Care System (HCS) standards. This physician will be fully qualified and certified to function in both a clinical and administrative role and in accordance with the guidelines and policies of the Durham Veterans Affairs Health Care System.
This individual is delegated the authority and responsibility in his/her area of expertise to assume major clinical, consultative, educational, research, and administrative duties and assignments related to Veteran care. Duties include but are not limited to:
