Overview
Are you a master of multitasking with a passion for supporting women’s wellness? Our clinic is looking for a dedicated Scheduling Specialist to join our Carolina Elite Women Care work family. As the first point of contact for our patients, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless, compassionate, and efficient healthcare experience. Please note, this is an in-office position (not remote).
ResponsibilitiesIn this position, you aren’t just quot;answering phones quot;. You are the heartbeat of our patient flow. You will manage a high-volume, multi-line phone system, helping patients navigate their healthcare journey with professionalism and warmth.
- High-Volume Call Management: Efficiently handle inbound calls using our multi-line system with a focus on low wait times and high-quality service.
- Expert Scheduling: Coordinate appointments for various women’s health services using the Athena EMR platform, including scheduling new appointments, rescheduling, cancellations, and follow-ups to optimize clinic flow.
- Patient Advocacy: Act as a bridge between patients and clinical staff, ensuring messages are routed accurately and urgent needs are prioritized.
- Data Integrity: Maintain precise patient records, verifying and updating insurance coverage, and confirming demographics
- Administrative Support: Assist with basic office tasks and patient check-in procedures as needed.
- The "Human Touch": Top-notch customer service skills required. You remain calm, empathetic, and professional, even during busy hours.
- Tech Savvy: Strong computer skills are a must. While we prefer candidates with Athena experience, a quick learner who can navigate complex software will thrive at our clinic.
- Communication Mastery: You can explain clinic policies clearly and listen actively to patient concerns.
- Dependability: In a fast-paced clinic, our team and our patients rely on your consistent presence and attention to detail.
- Experience in medical scheduling within a healthcare setting preferred
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual skills are a plus
- Strong customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and clerical support experience

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
