Materials Coordinator / Supply Chain Project Coordinator

Location:

Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM or Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-5:00 PM (4x10 schedule available)

Travel:
Local day trips to project sites as needed. No overnight travel required.

Mileage Reimbursement:
Yes, for approved business travel.

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Materials Coordinator to support construction and maintenance projects within the electric utility transmission and substation environment. This role serves as a key liaison between operations teams, supply chain, and vendors to ensure critical materials are available when and where they are needed.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, thrives in a team environment, and can independently manage priorities while helping resolve material-related challenges that could impact project schedules.

Coordinate and track materials required for transmission and substation construction and maintenance projects

Serve as the primary point of contact for material-related issues within an assigned geographic area

Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Project Teams, and vendors to support material acquisition and delivery

Identify and resolve material constraints that could impact project execution timelines

Monitor inventory, material availability, and delivery schedules

Support planning and execution activities to ensure projects remain on schedule

Conduct periodic site visits to support field operations and material coordination efforts

Maintain accurate records and reporting using company systems and tools

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams

Experience coordinating, tracking, or managing materials, inventory, logistics, or supply chain activities

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for occasional site visits Supply Chain Planner or Supply Chain Coordinator experience

Utility, power delivery, transmission, or substation industry experience

Knowledge of material procurement, acquisition, and delivery processes

Understanding of supply chain operations within a utility environment

Experience using Maximo or similar asset/work management systems
