We are seeking an experienced Business Development Associate Director to drive revenue growth and expand market presence within the clinical trial supplies and comparator drug sourcing marketplace. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic account plans, identifying new business opportunities, and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders across the pharmaceutical and clinical research ecosystem.
This is a quota-carrying sales role focused on expanding new and existing accounts, supporting client needs, and positioning our portfolio of clinical trial supply solutions to meet evolving market demand. The position is remote and field-based, with the requirement that candidates reside near Garner, North Carolina, and are able to travel as needed.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic growth plans within assigned U.S. territory.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and net-new accounts.
- Achieve or exceed annual revenue and profitability targets.
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline and move multiple opportunities through the sales cycle.
- Maintain accurate CRM documentation and forecasting within SAP.
- Coordinate internal pre-sales resources to support customer needs.
- Execute enterprise-level sales strategies and land-and-expand initiatives.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, technical buyers, and economic buyers.
- Provide regular pipeline, prospecting, and forecast reporting.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and industry changes.
- Attend industry conferences, exhibitions, and networking events to generate business opportunities.
- Resolve customer issues through investigation, solution development, and reporting.
- Stay informed on federal and state pharmaceutical regulations impacting sales activities.
- Maintain strong communication with leadership, customers, and internal teams.
- 5–12+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or business development.
- Preferred background in clinical trial supplies, comparator drug sourcing, CRO/pharmaceutical outsourcing, or life sciences sales.
- Proven success meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and consultative selling skills.
- Experience using SAP CRM and Microsoft Office tools preferred.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel for meetings, conferences, and industry events.
- Self-motivated professional with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Master’s Degree in Health Sciences, Marketing, Pharmaceuticals, or a related field preferred.
