Job DescriptionPBV is seeking a Beverage Equipment Service Tech A to join our team.

Beverage Equipment Service Tech ARole Overview
This role effectively and efficiently provides repair service within an assigned territory to all vendors, coolers, fountain, and other designated equipment. The technician delivers exceptional customer service while representing PBV with each customer. The role requires learning PBV operations, specific industry equipment, repair processes, and governmental guidelines.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities- Provides “Service that Sells.” Interacts with customers daily to diagnose, educate and support while ensuring customer expectations and PBV business objectives are met.

B. - Maintains and manages equipment, including diagnostics, repair, and testing components using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic testing equipment.
- Meets Pepsi‑Cola North America (PCNA) quality objectives, including preventive maintenance (PM) performed and reactive repair (RR) to drive revenue.
- Uses hand‑held computer to ensure accuracy of call detail, parts management, equipment location, and work performed.
- Reviews daily activity to re‑assign work within territory.
- Manages and controls truck operation, cleanliness, and parts inventory. Meets commercial vehicle regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two (2) years of experience in beverage equipment repair or a related field (small appliance, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration).
- Coursework in the aforementioned fields may substitute for experience.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Able to meet PBV’s driving guidelines; valid driver’s license with good driving record.
- Must be able to travel daily to assigned accounts; overnight travel may be required.
- Understanding of electrical components, electronics, plumbing, board‑level schematics, refrigeration, vending/fountain equipment repair, parts, and troubleshooting.
- Attention to detail, patience, and problem‑solving ability.
- Ability to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service, including needs assessment, quality standard, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
