Students & Assistant Coaches.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. The Head Golf Coach is responsible for all aspects related to conducting practices and games, working on individual player development, supervising pre-season and conditioning programs, assisting with, promoting, and maintaining positive public relations.

Successful candidate must be committed to the academic success of student-athletes and be committed to their personal growth and social development. Successful candidate must be fully committed to all GCSC, State, and National policies and procedures.

Knowledge of:

• Demonstrate knowledge of golffundamentals and programs
• Use of technology and media assistance to enhance the golf program
• Experience in coaching and applying disciplinary requirements

• Complete and assist the Athletic Director with a meaningful schedule
• Plan and coordinate practices and travels for games home and away
• All other assigned duties and assignments relating to the athletic department

A High School Diploma is required. College degree is preferred. Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, and should have previous coaching experience.
