Qualifications

* Employee must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Motivate and instruct students in a grade-level curriculum consistent with the intended goals and objectives.
* Prepare lessons, units, and materials to achieve above
* Promote a classroom environment that is safe and conducive for learning.
* Nurture social and emotional development of each student
* Participate fully in the School's calendar of days and events
* Engage actively in curriculum development, design, and execution
* Cooperate and communicate with parents, staff, and School on the progress of each student's growth and development
* Accurately report student's progress regularly to parents and administration.
* Participate actively in professional growth and development programs
* Encourages parental involvement in student education and ensures effective communication with both students and parents.
* Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
* Encourage and help each student realize his/her unique potential
* Utilize all available technology to enhance instruction.
* Employee must demonstrate, lead, and support Ambassador Christian Academy's vision and mission statement, and core values.
* Employee must attend and actively participate in all school meetings.
Secondary
Duties & Responsibilities
* Employee must maintain a courteous, polite, and mature attitude when dealing with students, colleagues, school personnel, parents, and community stake holders.
* Employee must perform all other duties as assigned and/or needed.
Psychological Considerations
* Employee must act as a role model and respect the environment, site, and facilities.
* Employee must be able to work in a team atmosphere, while always promoting the mission statement, vision, and core values of Ambassador Christian Academy.
* Employee must have the ability to maintain self-control and composure in difficult situations.
* Employee must have the ability to recognize priorities and meet deadlines.
* Employee must have the ability to receive constructive criticism and/or supervision.
* Employee must have the ability to be flexible and adaptable to new situations.
* Employee must possess enthusiasm and drive with a desire to accomplish goals and objectives.
Environmental & Physical Demands
* Employee may be required to work both inside and outside during various environmental conditions, such as, but not limited to rain and mud, hot and cold temperatures, exposure to dust, fumes, dirt, and noise.
* Employee may be exposed to various communicable diseases. (i.e., chicken pox, head lice, etc.).
* Employee must have the physical agility to perform moderate manual tasks.
* Employee may perform duties which include, but are not limited to prolonged lifting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, and climbing for extended periods of time.
Salary Range: $41,750 - $55,500 contingent on licensure, experience, and endorsements.
