STUDENT SERVICES (NW-SSER-IUNWA)
Indiana University (IU) Northwest seeks qualified candidates for the Part‑Time Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach position. IU Northwest Athletics is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
Department‑Specific Responsibilities- Help provide support in the management and administration of all aspects of the program.
- Assist with aspects of the recruitment process, including development of recruitment plans and targeting potential student‑athletes.
- Help develop a strength training and conditioning program.
- Attend practices and games, as well as help with game‑planning efforts.
- Provide and supervise academic support opportunities.
- Break down film and perform analysis.
- Support in‑game management functions.
- Help develop and implement strategies for motivating and retaining student‑athletes.
- Help coordinate fundraising events and participate in fundraising and community service projects.
- Assist with coordinating travel arrangements.
- Enforce policies and procedures as outlined in the student‑athlete handbook, team rules, and university student handbook.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- 3 years of collegiate, high school, club coaching, or relevant experience.
- Experience mentoring students.
- Collegiate playing experience.
- Proficient communication skills.
- Knowledge of NAIA and/or NCAA compliance rules and regulations.
- Computer experience and working knowledge of game‑film editing software (HUDL, Synergy, Krossover).
Ability to work/travel with team early mornings and afternoons, evenings, and weekends as necessary.
Location:
IU Northwest campus, Gary, Indiana
Compensation:
Up to $10,000 annually based on hours worked and seasonal program needs.
Hours vary by time of year.
