POSITION SUMMARYUnder the direction of Security Department supervisors and managers, the incumbent provides security coverage ensuring that adequate protection is provided for the safety of patrons and team members. Safeguards the assets of the organization, as well as those of its guests and team members, and promotes an outgoing, friendly guest‑oriented demeanor at all times.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Maintain security throughout the entire property.
- Be responsible for the security and safety of patrons and employees during the assigned shift.
- Safeguard Company assets during shift times.
- Prepare detailed incident reports in a clear and precise manner.
- Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion, and Dedication.
- Enforce policies and procedures as they apply to the Internal Controls and Gaming Regulations during the assigned shifts.
- Assist in the event of an emergency.
- Help patrons with a wide variety of inquiries and situations, including providing information about the property and events, giving directions, and escorting them if necessary.
- Perform the required work regularly and adhere to all Indiana Gaming Regulations.
- Attend seminars when needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of one (1) year of guest service experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One (1) year of security‑related experience is preferred.
- Must obtain and maintain all licenses and certifications required by Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission regulations.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Must successfully pass a drug screening.
- Prior experience in the Gaming industry is strongly preferred.
- Must be at least twenty‑one (21) years of age.
- Must be able to obtain a CPR/AED certificate and complete Blood‑Borne Pathogen training.
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.
- Computer applications necessary to compose clear, concise, and accurate reports.
- All appropriate licenses and certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
- Work different types of events with varying time schedules and on different days as needed.
- Read and comprehend all necessary documentation, training materials, and policy information.
- Assist sick or injured guests and team members.
- Communicate courteously, effectively, and professionally with guests and all levels of team members.
- Use tools and equipment such as radios, computers, and other position‑specific tools.
- Stand for extended periods of time.
- Communicate clearly, in English, with guests in a professional manner.
- Work within Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana established policies and guidelines.
