POSITION SUMMARYThe incumbent in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests and performing varied cashier functions in a pleasant, efficient, and honest manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Quickly and accurately cut and count chips on a continuous basis.
- Quickly and accurately make change, cash checks, process markers, and fill.
- Write receipts for marker payouts and other documents.
- Input and access information on the computer.
- Greet patrons and offer efficient, timely customer service during all window transactions.
- Use current technology to obtain customer credit information, field incoming calls, and coordinate work with fellow employees.
- Maintain bank balance, keep work area clean, and stock supplies.
- Complete any required paperwork.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the shift supervisor.
- Handle customer‑facing transactions such as chip redemption, marker, front money, safekeeping, currency exchange, check cashing, credit card cash advance, and ticket related transactions.
- Complete all related documentation with accuracy.
- Balance specific assigned areas with accuracy.
- Adhere to internal controls and standard operating procedures.
- Adhere to all AML/Title 31 regulations.
- Follow all HRCNI policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all Indiana Gaming Regulations.
- Attend seminars when needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior cashier or teller experience preferred.
- Good arithmetic skills preferred.
- Must obtain and maintain all licenses and certifications per federal, state, and Indiana Gaming Commission.
- Must successfully pass background check.
- Maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial data and casino policies.
- Must successfully pass drug screening.
- Be well‑groomed and in appropriate uniform with license visible at all times.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, email, spreadsheets, and databases, with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Basic math skills.
- 10‑key calculator.
- Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
- Work on the casino floor and be comfortable with varying levels of crowds and noise.
- Communicate effectively with outside contacts and all levels of team members.
- Review, comprehend, analyze, and assimilate reports and information generated on and by the computer and other necessary documentation.
- Obtain and maintain all appropriate licenses and certifications per federal, state, and gaming regulations.
- Balance bank at end of shift.
- Identify and accurately cash different denominations of gaming tokens, cash currency, checks, etc.
- Stand 100% of the time in a noisy environment.
- Lifts based on assigned areas.
