Production Manager, Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma, Production QC/QA
We are seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. This leadership role is responsible for supervising production personnel, optimizing workflow, maintaining operational performance, and fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Position Responsibilities Production Operations- Supervise daily production activities to ensure schedules and output targets are achieved.
- Monitor workflow, equipment utilization, and production performance.
- Coordinate resources to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Lead, coach, and develop production team members.
- Assign daily work, monitor performance, and provide ongoing feedback.
- Promote a positive, collaborative, and accountable work environment.
- Enforce company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine safety meetings and ensure safe work practices are followed.
- Identify and address workplace hazards while supporting a culture of safety.
- Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Investigate quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality and operational performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and streamline production processes.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives.
- Monitor key performance indicators and recommend process enhancements.
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, engineering, and other departments to support production goals.
- Maintain accurate production records and prepare operational reports.
- Communicate production updates, challenges, and performance metrics to management.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience supervising production or manufacturing teams.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and quality standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues and make sound operational decisions.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing or ERP systems.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Lean Manufacturing Certification
- Six Sigma Green Belt
- OSHA Safety Certification
- Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
- First Aid/CPR Certification
