Summary of Position

This position is responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, unload, and store materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment and a strong understanding of safe forklift operations.

Shift / Schedule

Monday – Friday, 7:00AM – 3:30PM

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a forklift to safely move raw materials, finished products, and supplies throughout the facility.
  • Load and unload trucks efficiently while ensuring materials are properly secured and documented.
  • Transport materials to and from production lines, storage areas, and shipping/receiving docks.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including staging, organizing, and maintaining a clean work area.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing or warehouse environment required.
  • Must have experience loading and unloading trucks using a forklift.
  • Strong attention to safety and detail.
  • Basic communication and teamwork skills.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of forklift operating experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production or shipping environment
  • Forklift certification preferred or the ability to obtain certification upon hire

Employees in this role are regularly required to stand and/or walk for extended periods, often for the duration of a full shift. The position requires frequent use of hands and arms to reach, handle, grasp, and manipulate materials and tools.

Employees must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive motions involving the hands, wrists, and arms. Bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching overhead may also be required.

Employees must have adequate vision and hearing to safely operate equipment and work within a manufacturing environment.

Work is performed in a plant/warehouse setting. Personal Protective Equipment is required i.e. safety glasses, and steel toe shoes/boots. Temperatures may vary. Exposure to dust, noise and extreme weather conditions.

Required personal protective equipment (PPE) may include safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe footwear, protective gloves, and other safety equipment as required by company safety policies.
