Senior Python Test Automation Engineer

Project Description

Software system level testing is a very important step in the development process of our products and ensures that the system meets specifications. The System Test Engineer is a key participant in the system level test process and provides important input to the product release decision making process.

• The Digital Platform system team consists of 9 people and follows an Agile/Kanban way of working.
• You will do mostly manual testing, but automation will still be part of your activities.
• Software baseline validation:
  • Execute the basic regression test on the software baseline
  • Quality check of the project deliverables
  • Contribute to requirement reviews with respect to testability
  • Review project input documents (project test report, process conformance)
  • Provide a quality verdict of the delivered software; accept/reject deliverables
• Execute the alpha test of new software packages:
  • Execute alpha tests
  • Report issues
  • Write test reports, submit issue tickets
• Process improvement:
  • Suggest process/tooling improvements where necessary
  • Test automation
  • Test system maintenance
  • Make sure the test systems are in a good state and solve issues where needed

• Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Technology.
• You will do mostly manual testing, but you understand test automation and will be ready to take automation tasks as well.
• You have between +5 years of experience as a Software Tester in a complex software development organization. For this role we are only looking to hire a senior experienced Tester.
• You are ISTQB certified (advanced level).
• You like to perform manual and automatic testing.
• You have strong debugging and analytic skills; you are experienced in defect analysis and bug fixing.
• You have a very good knowledge an experience in Python, Selenium and Linux.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, integration of test processes across products, test automation and security testing.
• Experience working with Jira, Bit Bucket, Git, Polarion.
