Truck Delivery Driver

We're looking for a Vehicle Transport Driver who will be responsible for transferring heavy duty trucks or chase vehicles between dealerships and various customer locations.

• Deliver new trucks, used trucks and customer vehicles to various locations within the Chicagoland area.
• Follow through with customer returns accurately.
• Communicate any damage or mechanical issues timely to Trans Chicago.
• Work with Service and Truck Sales departments to communicate customer feedback.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in proper working condition.
• Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, report to location manager if any issues are found.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicles.
• Other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• 2 years of driving experience required.
• Minimum Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement;
  Class A license preferred.
• Must be able to successfully pass a DOT medical certification evaluation.
• Clean DMV motor vehicle record required.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions is required.
• Ability to work independently, customer service skills, organizational skills, and a positive attitude are required.
• Regular, predictable, and full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Driver must be physically capable of performing required work.
• Follow appropriate safety procedures while driving trucks to destination of Trans Chicago locations or customer locations.
