Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Gary, IN — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Driver Positions Pay Weekly:

• Solo Miles Pay: $0.62 per Mile with 2000 - 3000 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay: $50.00 per Stop with 8 to 10 stops per week
• Per Diem Pay: $45.00 per night with up to 5 nights per Week and 34 hour reset at home
• $35 detention pay, $37.00 drop/hook at wash pay - 5 per week.
• Endorsements:
  Tanker REQUIRED, Hazmat preferred - Ryder will train and help you obtain Hazmat;
  Must have 6 months to 1 year of Tanker experience.
• Tractor Type:
  Sleeper;
  Manual Transmission
• Must be able to operate Manual transmission, or be willing to have the restriction removed and Ryder will train
• Sign on Bonus:
  Pays you $3000; $1500 at 30 days, $1500 at 90 days
• Safety Bonus:
  Pays You $4500; $1500 at 3 months, $1500 at 6 months and $1500 at 9 months
• Paid Training
• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday;
  Rotating Sunday Dispatch 2xs/Month
• Start Time: 3:00 AM - 6:00 AM

Deliver SOLO to: OH, MI, IN, PA, WV, MS, AL, GA, IL, TN, AR, SC, NC, KY

Route:
Regional w/ up to 5 layovers per week

Liquid Tanker Trailer

Cannot accept automatic restriction

Freight:
No Touch – Driver will connect hoses and pressurize trailer w/assistance

Requirements:

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
