Cross-Platform Journalist

Join CBC/Radio-Canada as a Cross-Platform Journalist in Gaspé, Quebec. This full-time position requires fluency in French and offers a dynamic environment focused on storytelling across multiple platforms.

As a Cross-Platform Journalist, you will report directly to the Senior Manager of News and Programming in Gaspé–Magdalen Islands. This role demands expertise in gathering information, conducting interviews, and producing content tailored for various news formats. You will engage in diverse storytelling while adhering to CB/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research current events from various news sources

• Cultivate relationships with local contacts

• Plan and field-produce television shoots

• Write and adapt content for multiple platforms

• Alert newsroom about breaking news opportunities

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

• Minimum three years of journalism experience

• Strong knowledge of regional affairs

• Fluency in French (reading, writing, speaking)

• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
