The Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing, managing and improving accounting procedures, providing accurate financial reporting and supporting financial decision‑making. This role plays a key part in month‑end and year‑end activities, including generating journal entries, account reconciliations, implementing and maintaining internal controls and financial analysis. To include other ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

• Participate in month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements, including journal entry adjustments as necessary.
• Prepare balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statements, and other financial reports as necessary.
• Monitor and enforce internal controls and accounting policies; recommend improvements.
• Generate general ledger reconciliations.
• Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies.
• Support audits (both internal and external), including preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial regulations and GAAP (or local accounting standards).
• Mentor and guide junior accounting staff; review their work.
• Collaborate with other teams (e.g. operations, sales) to collect needed financial data.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and systems / technology upgrades.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, CMA or equivalent preferred.
• 5–7+ years of accounting experience, with progressive responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books and IFS preferred) and MS Excel (advanced level).
• Experience with month‑end, year‑end close, audits and financial statement preparation.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills — able to explain financial information to non‑financial staff.
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with audit (internal or external) and SOX or compliance oriented environments.

• Experience with ERP system implementations or upgrades.
• Experience in manufacturing and intercompany accounting.
• Familiarity with FIA regulations.
