Job Title: Accountant / Full-Charge Bookkeeper
Employment Type: (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Charlotte, NC
Pay: $75,000 – $90,000 / Annually

Job Description:The Accountant will oversee day-to-day accounting activities across multiple entities, manage financial reporting, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This role handles full-cycle bookkeeping responsibilities and supports leadership with financial insights, month-end processes, and general accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements, P&L, balance sheets, and consolidated reporting
- Perform month-end close activities and maintain all supporting schedules
- Process invoices, set up new vendors/customers, and ensure accurate coding
- Complete bank and credit card reconciliations and research discrepancies
- Monitor customer accounts, process collections, and manage AR follow-up
- Verify, process, and post payments for accounts payable
- Handle payroll processing approvals and related journal entries
- Prepare and file required federal, state, and local tax documents
- Troubleshoot and maintain accounting software; coordinate system updates as needed
- Support miscellaneous administrative or operational tasks as needed in a small-office environment
- 3–5+ years of hands-on accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV)
and Quick Books - Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, inventory processes, and BOMs
- Ability to work independently with minimal training on accounting fundamentals
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
- No degree required; experience and capability are valued more than formal education
- Adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable wearing multiple hats in a non-corporate setting

- Work Hours:
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexibility available within reason) - Working closely with leadership; largely independent role
