My client is an established General Contractor with a strong presence across North Carolina. Due to continued growth and a healthy project pipeline, they are looking to hire an experienced Commercial Project Manager to join their team.
They deliver a diverse portfolio of ground-up and renovation projects across the commercial construction sector, including healthcare, education, hospitality, retail, office, multifamily and mixed-use developments
.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final completion. You will work closely with Superintendents, owners, architects, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, cost forecasting and financial performance.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, buyout and contract administration.
- Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation.
- Lead owner, architect and subcontractor meetings.
- Work closely with field teams to maintain project schedules and resolve construction issues.
- Monitor project costs and identify potential risks before they impact delivery.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams and subcontractors.
- Ensure projects meet company standards for safety, quality and profitability.
- Support and mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers where required.
My client is looking for candidates with:
- Previous Project Management experience with a General Contractor
. - Strong understanding of construction schedules, budgets, contracts and subcontractor management.
- Experience managing projects through the full construction lifecycle.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 or similar.
- A degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline is preferred but not essential.
