About This Role

The Creative Arts Director is responsible for the worship and creative arts ministries at The Bridge Princeton and is the primary leader and mentor for all musicians, vocalists, production and other creative arts volunteers. This position works closely in collaborating with our Central Creative Arts Director in designing graphics and shooting/editing video to meet design needs.

General Position Ministry Areas

Lead as the ministry owner of:

  • Music Teams
  • Production Teams
  • Online Ministry Teams
  • Weekend Worship Experiences
  • Special Worship Experiences
Primary Responsibilities and Tasks of the Creative Arts Director Leadership:
  • Oversee all music and production teams.
  • Lead the weekend worship experience, including production, praise teams, choir and oversee online both technically and relationally via the chat host team.
  • Lead the recruitment and auditions for newcomers to the CA Department.
  • Submit to the leadership of the Lead Pastor in planning all services.
  • Assist all ministry leaders in the CA Department in the annual budget process.
Management:
  • Schedule praise teams for weekend worship experiences and special events.
  • Ensure all equipment is ready for Sunday services and special events.
  • Keep track of song lists for CCLI and complete annual reporting process.
  • Use Planning Center software for sheet music, song audio, scheduling, service confirmation and decline, orders of service, etc.
  • Demonstrate stewardship of the Creative Arts Budget by accurately tracking expenses and submitting receipts in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other Bridge locations Creative Art Pastors for annual All Location Night of Worship.
Development:
  • Train musicians and singers to help them develop their talents through resources, practices, one-on-one tutorials and seminars.
  • Assist musicians with using the latest music technology such as loops in worship, in-ear monitors and other equipment.
  • Teach TBP musicians and singers through curriculum and devotions on what it means to be a role-model worshipper.
  • Build teams and leaders for all aspects of the Creative Arts Department; i.e. Media, Praise Teams, Choir, and staging utilizing TBP’s leadership pipeline model.
Production:
  • Create an environment that honors & blesses the Lord and engages His people to respond in passionate worship to Him.
  • Prepare multitrack resources for use in worship events.
  • Write arrangements and transpose music for band rehearsals.
  • Select backgrounds for screens.
  • Create multi-tracks for the weekend services.
  • Assemble Spotify playlists for pre and post services, as needed.
  • Capture social media materials for Communications department use.
  • Oversee stage design updates for seasonal and sermon series needs.
  • Provide graphics and videography needs, which often include YT Thumbnails/Updates, Event Graphics/Promo print materials, Baptism/Welcome Videos, Etc.
Shepherd:
  • Lead devotional and prayer times with CA teams;
  • Visit hospitals, pray for and encourage creative team members.

    This position reports to the Executive Director (TBP). This position is a part of the Senior Leadership Team (TBP). This position leads and supervises the Production Coordinator and oversees the Creative Arts leadership in Bridge Students and Bridge Kids via the Leadership Pipeline.
