The governing unit within the Department of Athletics is the Director’s Office, which is the administrative office and clearinghouse for the entire Department of Athletics, and promotes the department’s guiding principle of educating and inspiring through athletics. This unit provides support to administrators, coaches, staff members and student-athletes in order to provide and promote a premier intercollegiate athletic program for The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The Department of Athletics is a highly visible public relations arm of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with statewide, national and international recognition.

Assist the head coach with all aspects of the Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving program including, but not limited to, practice and competition activities, player skill development, recruiting, and directing and implementing plans for daily practices and competitions. Support alumni engagement, fundraising initiatives, and Name, Image, and Likeness ( NIL ) efforts, including coordination with internal and external partners. Assist with organizing and administering clinics, as well as overall administrative tasks within the operation of the program.

Must demonstrate integrity, leadership, and a strong commitment, along with the ability to motivate, teach, counsel, and recruit academically qualified student‑athletes.

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required (or foreign degree equivalent) with at least 1 year of experience in relevant independent instructional or educational activities; specific minimum experience is at the discretion of the Director…
