Senior Aerospace Engineer for Flyght Dynamics

At GMV, we are looking for a technical leader with a strong background in orbital mechanics and software engineering to drive the evolution of our Flight Dynamics (FD) solutions using state-of-the-art technologies.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

You will join our Flight Dynamics team, responsible for the development of FD software operated in mission control centres, and play a key role in shaping the future of our solutions for current and upcoming space missions. We have recently developed a new Flight Dynamics software kernel with huge innovation potential. In this role, you will lead the next steps in transforming this technology into efficient, scalable and future-ready FD solutions.

What will you do?

• Lead the technical evolution of our Flight Dynamics solutions.
• Define technology strategies aligned with customer operational needs.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams, operations, clients and key stakeholders.
• Participate in business and strategic activities: demos, technical presentations, proposals and bidding activities.
• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle: requirements definition design implementation verification & validation deployment maintenance customer support.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience in Flight Dynamics operations.

Experience in bidding/proposal activities for FD or ground control centre solutions.

Hands-on experience with FD tools such as: GMAT STK Orekit Godot or similar.

Software engineering experience and Programming experience related to orbital mechanics and numerical computation.

Fluent English.

Nice to have:

• Programming skills in Python, C/C++, Java or FORTRAN.
• Linux environment and bash scripting experience.
• Experience with satellite mission operations across, experience with satellite constellations and experience integrating new satellites or platforms into operational systems.
