System Engineer For Space Missions

Are you looking for an innovative and well-established company where you can grow professionally? GMV is a technology group with extensive experience. We are expanding our teams in the Space Sector to take on projects within the Engineering and Research Division.

What challenge will you be taking on? As part of our team, you will contribute to Phase 0/A studies for space missions within the Engineering and Studies Division, which is part of the Flight Segment and Robotics Business Unit. Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Analyzing mission and system requirements for space missions.
  • Contributing to the definition of mission and system architectures that can meet these requirements.
  • Conducting mission analysis activities (orbit selection, launch and injection, delta-V budget, contacts with ground stations, etc.).
  • Supporting the definition of the concept of operations.
  • Contributing to the Space Debris Mitigation Plan.
  • Supporting the selection and definition of the platform and payloads.
  • Completing the systems engineering models with information on all subsystems and components at the platform, payload, and ground segment levels.
  • Contributing to the development of the Mission Development Plan.

What do we need in our team? For this position, we are seeking professionals with a background in aerospace engineering and experience in space missions who have:

  • A master's degree in aerospace engineering.
  • Work experience in systems engineering or mission analysis.
  • We will also value prior experience and knowledge in:
    • Model-based systems engineering.
    • Matlab and/or Python.
    • Proficiency in drafting formal project documentation in English.
    • MS Office.
    • Experience working in integrated teams with professionals from different disciplines within the space sector.
