Position: Certified Prosthetic Orthotist (CPO)

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) to join a patient‑focused clinical team in Gastonia, NC. This full‑time role is ideal for a licensed professional dedicated to restoring mobility, independence, and quality of life for patients through customized prosthetic and orthotic solutions.

In this position, you will evaluate patients, design and fit custom prosthetic and orthotic devices, and collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and clinical staff to achieve optimal functional outcomes. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized prosthetic and orthotic treatment plans
  • Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom prosthetic and orthotic devices to enhance comfort and function
  • Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Educate patients and caregivers on device use, care, maintenance, and safety
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment strategies to achieve functional goals
  • Maintain accurate, compliant, and timely clinical documentation
  • Deliver empathetic, patient‑centered care aligned with ethical standards
Requirements
  • Licensed Prosthetist/Orthotist in North Carolina or eligible for licensure
  • Certification through ABC (American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics) or BOC (Board of Certification/Orthotics & Prosthetics)
  • Previous clinical experience in prosthetics and orthotics preferred
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent communication and patient education abilities
  • Commitment to delivering individualized, high‑quality patient care
