Job Description & How to Apply Below

Technical Source is hiring a Utilities Maintenance Technician for a large-scale, GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing site in NC. This is a hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting role supporting the clean utilities systems that keep sterile manufacturing operations running around the clock — clean water, clean steam, and process gases. If you have a background in industrial or facilities maintenance within a regulated environment and want to bring that experience to one of the largest sterile injectable manufacturing operations in the country, we'd like to talk to you.

WHAT

YOU'LL DO
  • Perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance on clean utilities systems supporting GMP manufacturing.
  • Maintain clean water systems (WFI, Purified Water, USP water distribution and generation).
  • Maintain clean/compressed air systems supporting production operations.
  • Maintain clean steam systems (generation and distribution to point of use).
  • Maintain process gas systems (nitrogen, CO2, and other production gases as applicable).
  • Complete maintenance documentation in line with GMP practices (work orders, logbooks, CMMS records).
  • Respond to utility system alarms and deviations during your shift and elevate per site protocol.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Validation, and Quality teams on utility system performance and compliance.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • 3+ years of hands‑on maintenance/troubleshooting experience on clean utilities systems (clean water, clean steam, process/compressed gases) in a GMP‑regulated facility.
  • Working knowledge of GMP documentation practices and cGMP environment expectations.
  • Mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation troubleshooting skills applicable to utility system components (pumps, valves, PLC‑monitored skids, generators).
  • Ability to work night shift on a 3‑2‑2 rotating schedule (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical/trade school or military technical training a plus.
NICE TO HAVE
  • Experience in a sterile injectable, parenteral, or aseptic manufacturing environment.
  • Experience at a large‑scale pharmaceutical manufacturing site.
