Overview:

Join our distinguished Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team at Caro Mont Regional Medical Center, a renowned Level-III NICU facility recognized for excellence and innovation. This full-time, permanent position offers an exceptional opportunity for experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to contribute to high-quality neonatal care in a supportive and technologically advanced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive, evidence-based neonatal care in a 16-bed Level III NICU with a focus on improving patient outcomes.

Collaborate closely with neonatologists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care to critically ill newborns.

Assist with coverage of the NICU, working approximately 20 hours per day across assigned shifts, ensuring continuous 24/7 care.

Support the newborn nursery operations, providing care for stable newborns and assisting during admissions and discharges.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives, protocol development, and staff mentoring to enhance clinical practices.

Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to institutional policies and national safety standards.

Qualifications:

Current Board Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (must be NBNA certified; certifications such as FNP or PNP are not accepted).

Minimum of 2 years of recent, full-time neonatal intensive care experience as an NNP.

Active RN license and NNP certification in North Carolina or qualified for licensure.

Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
